New Dry Slope Resort For Wales

A new ‘adventure resort’ is to be built in Wales by the company run by TV personality Bear Grylls, the Bear Gryll's Survival Academy.
The multi-million pound Afan Valley Adventure Resort, the first of its kind in the UK, will be home to a string of adrenaline-fuelled indoor and outdoor activities, a company spokesperson said.

The all-weather all-year-round resort on a 500 acre site will feature three dry slopes, a series of tough challenge and endurance courses, zip wires through the forest, tree top adventures, bike trails, an Xtreme sport centre, an aqua park and indoor trampoline centre.
A central plaza will feature bars and restaurants and there will also be a spa centre, 100 bedroom hotel and 500 luxury lodges.

The local Afan Forest Park already attracts thousands of visitors each year with more than 90,000 mountain bikers visiting the Afan Valley last year.
“With the invaluable vision and experience of the team behind the Bear Grylls Survival Academy on board, we are now in a position to deliver something new and very exciting to the UK leisure industry,” a company spokesperson said.
