Thredbo to build new gondola lift
Plans for a new gondola at Thredbo ski resort in Australia have been given the green light by official bodies.
The gondola, which will be the resortís first, will replace the old Merritts double chairlift which runs for the resortís Valley terminal to a mid-mountain restaurant, serving predominantly easy and intermediate grade terrain.
The application for the new Doppelmayr lift was submitted in February last year with an estimated cost of $10.7m (Australian). It has not yet been revealed when construction will begin but anticipate soon.
