The Italian ski region of Alta Badia has is not only home to the Audi FIS World Cup since 1985 but also a home for families. Now for the second year in a row in the middle summer the resort will be hosting a special night of snow sports for families.
From 21:15pm on the August 17th, guests will be treated to a history of skiing in the area presented by local ski and snowboard instructors. Then local World Cup hero Davide Simoncelli will join the hosts for his insight into skiing in the area. At the end of the evening the main event will take place. Thanks to snow farming over the last months a ski slope will be created in the heart of the town. Children will get the chance to rent ski equipment, so as to try the thrill of downhill skiing in the middle of summer. Free lessons will be provided by the instructors of the Ski & Snowboard School La Villa as well as freestyle demonstrations from the “Pirate Crew” all under a lighting display worthy of a New Years Eve celebration.
