SnowKidz shows no signs of slowing down

SnowKidz just keeps growing
As of 27th August 2015 SnowKidz has seen 947 events with over 700’000 participants. This figure means the SnowKidz goal of 500’000 participants by 2016 has been achieved, but this does not mean we can rest on our laurels.

Already for the 2015/16 season, 73 events are registered, including FIS Nordic World Ski Championship hosts Lahti 2017. At the current pace the programme should exceed 1000 events by the end of January 2016.

FIS Secretary General Sarah Lewis commented: “The SnowKidz programme is simple and not burdened by regulations - basically anything goes, which is why it works. The Organisers use their creativity to make the events happen, and FIS provides support and tools to assist them. Key is that the SnowKidz programme is free to sign up and there are plenty of benefitsfor the Organisers.“
