Sweden Flexes its muscles early

Sweden registers record SnowKidz events early.
Sweden’s Alle pa Snow (Everyone on Snow) has already registered 37 events for next season.

Developed by the Swedish Ski Association, Alle pa Sno works with clubs and resort throughout Sweden to provide children free lessons, free lift passes, demo equipment and a host of activities to engage children in snowsports. The key to the programme’s success has been the direct approach to schools close to resorts and Cross-Country facilities to invite them to events. The result is that not only resorts have more participants, but also schools are canoffer a healthy sport programme in the winter.

Looking to the 2015/16 season the tour will include the traditional locations of Falun, Järfälla, Ryssbergsbacken, Högagärdebacken, Åsbacken, as well as major cities such as Stockholm and Göteborg. The tour will also make a stop in the far north at Kiruna. A focal point will be a huge event in Stockholm Gärdet on 1st February 2016 with an expected attendance of over 2,000 children.
